Bernard D. Davis

   Bernard D. Davis, age 79 years, of Mumford died November 6, 2004 at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. He was born May 23, 1925 in Rochester, NY to Albert and Evelena Davis. Bernard was a WWII veteran and retired as a heating and plumbing contractor. Bernard was a life member of the Mumford Fire Department and enjoyed woodcarving, oil painting, hunting, fishing, bird watching, model trains, and his Indian heritage. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, June of Mumford; daughter, Sharon (John) Hosenfeld of KS; sons, Jerrie "Jake" (Deborah) Davis of Caledonia; Steven (Cathy) Davis of Mumford; grandchildren, Brian Hosenfeld, Karin (Carlos) Hosenfeld Mariosa, Patrick, Timothy, April and Joshua Davis; great-granddaughter, Victoria Mariosa; sisters, Velma (Pat) Russo, Shirley (Norwood) Tedder both of AZ; brother, Franklin (Reva) Davis of Bloomfield; several nieces and nephews.

   Friends called Tuesday, 6-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia where his Funeral Service was held Wednesday at 11 AM. His interment was held at Mumford Rural Cemetery.
