Annabel C. Root, age 98 years, of Caledonia died September 19, 2002 at the Crossroads House in Batavia. She was born December 31, 1903 in Cowlesville, NY to Emer J. and Emma (MacIntyre) Dysktra. Annabel retired from the Village of Caledonia as the Clerk/Treasurer. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Stone Church, Caledonia for 77 years, and served as treasurer. Annabel was awarded the Caledonia-Mumford Lion’s Club; Citizen of the Year Award in 1992. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Bernard and Doris of Rochester and Louis and Karen Root of Caledonia; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, a nephew and several nieces. Annabel’s husband, Louis L. Root predeceases her.

   No prior calling. Friends attended her Memorial Service, Saturday, September 28 at 11:00 AM at the United Presbyterian Stone Church, 3177 Church Street, Caledonia, NY 14423.
