Kelley’s Heroes wows Lilac Festival
"The Pride of Caledonia" opens the 2008 season

   Caledonia’s own, Kelley’s Heroes Marching Band, founded by the late Tim Kelley, opened their 17th parade season on May 10th. The marching band, known for its constant stream of music played during their march, entertained the spectators along the parade route at Rochester’s annual Lilac Festival parade.

   The Lilac Festival Parade begins a run of eighteen events that the marching band will participate in during the 2008 season. The highlight of this year’s schedule once again, is the group’s annual trip, to participate in Toronto’s 104th Santa’s Parade in November. The Toronto trip will be followed by the season ending Caledonia’s Hometown Holidays march.

   In between the Lilac Festival and the Hometown Holidays, the band can be seen at many of the major Fire Department and Festival parades throughout Western New York. For a complete schedule of Kelley’s Heroes’ events, go to:
