SUPPORT YOUR LIBRARY In 1873 a group of women from Caledonia met to consider opening a public library. The library resided in many places until 1910 when they moved into the building we now know as the Caledonia Library. They were devoted to providing our town with a library that would "continue to grow in all directions, physically with an increased number of volumes, increased circulation in ministry to the public through its loan of books, an increased use of the building for worthy causes". In today's world as was 126 years ago, we know the importance of our library. We need your support to take us into the next century. Our Library was established as the Caledonia Library Association. The Association's objects are to maintain a circulating library, and reading rooms for public use by the Caledonia Community and neighbors. We need your help. By contributing $5.00 per year you become an Associate Member. Your contribution will be used for the support of the library. When in 1873 the women of Caledonia formed this Library Association, they all pledged $5.00 to buy books. And 126 years later that is all we are asking for. Become part of our town's history, and help lead us into the future!
An invitation is extended to all those that used to reside in Caledonia and keep up with the happenings through these pages. What a special way to keep in contact and show how you still care about the community of Caledonia. Send your $5.00 to the Caledonia Library Association, 3108 Main Street, Caledonia, NY 14423. What a great gift idea - A membership to the Library Association!
