Dear Parent/Guardian:

   Thanks for your interest in the Girl Scout program. We would love to have your daughter join our organization, where girls grow strong!

    More than 150 girls in the Caledonia-Mumford area are already Girl Scouts. And we’re thrilled that the interest in Girl Scouting continues to grow. Because of our high retention rate, our existing troops are limited in the number of new girls they can take. So to meet the ever-increasing demand, we will form new troops as needed at the Daisy (Kindergarten & 1st grade), Brownie (2nd & 3rd grade), Junior (4th & 5th grade), Cadette (6th, 7th & 8th grade), Senior (9th & 10th grade) and Ambassador (11th & 12th grade) levels.

   New troops, however, are only possible when we have new leaders. We need your help so that your daughter, and many other girls, can experience all that Girl Scouting has to offer. Our current leaders are ready, willing, and able to help you get started. And our Council offers numerous training opportunities and activities to help you succeed.

   There are lots of reasons to become a leader or co-leader. Maybe you were a Girl Scout when you were your daughter’s age and know firsthand what a great experience it is. Maybe you like organizing activities and field trips of all kinds.

   Maybe you like working with kids. Or maybe you realize that helping your daughter and her peers become the leaders of tomorrow just might be the most important thing you do with your life.

   Whatever your reason, you won’t have to do it alone. In fact, we already have a couple of mothers willing to lead a troop—as long as someone else will help out.
