Jordan Vokes Recipient of Robert C. Freeman Award Each fall, the Robert C. Freeman Citizenship Award is given to a member of the Cal-Mum Senior class who exemplifies outstanding citizenship. Mr. Freeman, a teacher, principal and coach at CMCS for many years, was dedicated to students at CMCS. His leadership and example are an inspiration to all who worked with him, studied under him or knew him. Senior Jordan Vokes is the recipient of the 2007 Robert C. Freeman Citizenship Award. He is the son of Rick and Colleen Vokes of Caledonia . Vokes is very involved in the Cal-Mum School community. He is a three sport athlete whose leadership abilities have made him a captain of the basketball and baseball teams. As a senior, Vokes joined the varsity soccer team, placing himself directly in the pressure zone as the goaltender. He's performed in the high school musical throughout high school and holds a role in the Senior Class play. Vokes is vice-president for his Senior Class and is a member of the National Honor Society. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, boating and fishing. "Jordan fits the criteria for the Robert C. Freeman award perfectly. He is an outstanding student-athlete who demonstrates outstanding leadership and citizenship. Congratulations to Jordan and his family, " remarked High School Principal Thomas Woodruff. Vokes is researching several colleges for next year, including Syracuse University , Keuka College , the University at Buffalo and SUNY Geneseo.
