Cub Scouts

explore the field of engineering

Cub Scout Pack 27 explored the various fields of engineering at their February 26, 2007 pack meeting. The scouts created some engineering projects and also participated in hands-on projects brought in for the pack meeting.

The young Cub Scouts were invited to create a home baked cake incorporating the engineering theme. There were many interesting designs submitted and each one earned distinction with categories such as "best popsicle bridge, "ancient Greek structure," rocket to the stars" and "the sturdiest wall."

The cakes were judged by Girl Scouts Nichole Essig, Michaela Murphy, Emily Peterson and Maddie Flint from Troop 1056, with Troop Leader Nicole Flint verifying the results.

Pack 27 Cub Scouts who entered cakes include: Timothy Sherman, Chuckie Surat, Dixon Robbin, Nathan Hawkes, Scott McCoy, Wesley Ebersole, Nathan Maar, James Gillen, Ian Mack, Dylan Miller, Matt Brechue, Robbie Voos, Zach Harper, Matthew O’Donoghue, Michael Roll, Conor Driscoll, Matt Condame, Adam Howard, Andrew Spring, Ben Howard, Mitchell Houser, Jacob Andolora, Daniel McCabe.

The theme for the next pack meeting will be first aide.
