Fall weekend workers The dog days of summer are long gone and so are the relaxing weekends around the barbecue pit and the pool. With the onset of fall, many groups and organizations are back in full swing. Such was the case in Caledonia and Mumford. Boy Scout Troop 4027 held their fall bottle and can drive on Saturday, September 15. Starting at 9 a.m., the boys collected bottles and cans throughout the streets of Caledonia and Mumford and returned to Caledonia Commons parking to complete the job of sorting and bagging. By 2 p.m. they had filled a large truck and were headed for Mickels Nickels redemption center in LeRoy where the load was expected to return about $800-$900 to the troop. The money raised by the bottle and can drive funds troop activities throughout the year. |
