Meeting Minutes The Village of Caledonia Board of Trustees held a budget workshop on Sunday, February 24, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Village Office. Members Present: Mayor Joe Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Teresa Truman and Trustee Steve Polo. Absent: Trustees Steve Boscoe and Diane Fowler. A motion was made by Deputy-Mayor Truman to approve Paula Davison as alternate election inspector; Trustee Polo seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman and
Polo. 2008-2009 General and Water expense and revenue accounts were reviewed. Budget Workshops: Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. There being no further business, a motion was made by Trustee Polo at 2:30 p.m. to adjourn; Deputy-Mayor Truman seconded the motion. Meeting Minutes The Village of Caledonia Board of Trustees held a meeting on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Members Present: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman, Trustees Steve Boscoe and Diane Fowler. Absent: Trustee Steve Polo. A motion was made by Trustee Boscoe to approve the February 5 and February 10, 2008 Board Meeting Minutes; Deputy-Mayor Truman seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,
Trustees Boscoe and Fowler. Bills were audited and ordered paid:
A motion was made by Deputy-Mayor Truman to approve the bills paid; Trustee Fowler seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,
Trustees Boscoe and Fowler. Budget Transfer: a motion was made by Trustee Boscoe to approve a budget transfer of $41.99 to A1110.400 Court Contractual from A1110.120 Court Personnel; Trustee Fowler seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,
Trustees Boscoe and Fowler. Main Street Easements pending signatures, table. Garbage and Recycle bids were opened at the January 22, 2008 Board Meeting as follows:
A motion was made by Trustee Boscoe to accept the bid from LT Disposal $175,000 year #1, $179,000 year #2; Deputy-Mayor Truman seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,
Trustees Boscoe and Fowler. Grade D Water Operator certification has been awarded to Chad Grant from the Livingston County Department of Health. A motion was made by Trustee Fowler to approve a .25 cent increase to Chad Grant; Deputy-Mayor Truman seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,
Trustees Boscoe and Fowler. A motion was made by Trustee Boscoe to accept a letter of resignation from Officer Kathy Narowski effective February 11, 2008; Trustee Boscoe seconded the motion. AYE: Deputy-Mayor Truman, Trustees Boscoe
and Fowler. Mayor Caluorie did not vote. A motion was made by Trustee Boscoe to hire Jared Passamonte as a Part-time Police Officer effective February 19, 2008 at $14.25 per hour; Trustee Boscoe seconded the motion. AYE: Deputy-Mayor Truman, Trustee Boscoe and
Fowler. Mayor Caluorie did not vote. A motion was made by Trustee Boscoe to abolish one Full-time Police Officer position; Trustee Fowler seconded the motion. AYE: Deputy-Mayor Truman, Trustee Boscoe and
Fowler. Mayor Caluorie did not vote. Notice of Defects: Clerk-Treasurer Ann Marie Grattan notified the Village Board and DPW Superintendent Chris Buckley of a complaint received from Carmine Cappotelli, 257 Spring Street, a village tree in need of trimming. Minutes The Village of Caledonia Board of Trustees held a budget workshop on Sunday, February 10, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Village Office. Members Present: Mayor Joe Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Teresa Truman, Trustees Steve Boscoe and Steve Polo. Absent: Trustee Diane Fowler. Clerk-Treasurer Ann Marie Grattan reviewed the 2008-2009 General and Water expense and revenue accounts. Executive Session: a motion was made by Deputy-Mayor Truman to enter into executive session at 2:50 p.m. to discuss personnel; Trustee Polo seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,
Trustees Boscoe and Polo. After some discussion, a motion was made by Deputy-Mayor Truman at 3:00 p.m. to close the executive session; Trustee Boscoe seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,

Village Board Meeting Minutes The Village of Caledonia Board of Trustees held a meeting on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at the Village Office. Members Present: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman, Trustees Steve Boscoe, Diane Fowler and Steve Polo. Also present: Village Attorney Jim Coniglio. A motion was made by Trustee Polo to approve the January 22, 2008 Board Meeting Minutes; Deputy-Mayor Truman seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,
Trustees Boscoe, Fowler and Polo. Bills were audited and ordered paid:
Trustee Boscoe stated his displeasure of the purchase of a new laptop computer for Mayor Caluorie. A motion was made by Deputy-Mayor Truman to approve the bills paid; Trustee Polo seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman and
Trustee Polo. A motion was made by Trustee Boscoe to approve a budget transfer from A1110.120 Court Payroll to A1110.400 Court Contractual in the amount of $68.54; Trustee Polo seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,
Trustees Boscoe, Fowler and Polo. Ann Marie Grattan presented the Clerk-Treasurer Report for the month of January. Total revenues for the month were $46,475.80; expenses were $142,360.32. Outstanding water amounted to $13,282 and 150 late water letters were mailed out. Department Contractual budget and payroll reports were distributed to DPW, Police and Recreation Supervisors. A motion was made by Trustee Fowler to accept the report; Deputy-Mayor Truman seconded the report. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,
Trustees Boscoe, Fowler and Polo. Code Enforcement Officer none. 3055 Main Street property in violation of code. EMC Mortgage Company has hired a company to secure the property and clean up the weeds and garbage. Cleanup began on Monday, February 4, 2008. Chris Buckley presented a verbal DPW Report for the month of January. A water break occurred in a field on LeHigh Street. During the wind storm a village tree fell on a car on North and Jane Street. Mayor Caluorie will contact the owner. The decorative light pole in front of the Bank of Castile also fell over during the storm. A motion was made by Trustee Fowler to accept the report; Trustee Boscoe seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,
Trustees Boscoe, Fowler and Polo. Officer David Richardson presented the Police Report for the month of January. There were 305 village calls and three town calls. There were three domestic incidents, 36 traffic tickets, six motor vehicle accidents, four ambulance calls, two burglar alarms, two assists to the Fire Department, two assists to the Livingston County Sheriff, one assist to the New York State Police and one assist to the Monroe County Sheriff. There were 37 arrests. Activities included CMCS Resource Officer, village park, property, business, soft target and residential checks. Also there was court appearance, foot patrol, bus dismissal and monitoring of the traffic circle. A motion was made by Trustee Polo to accept the report; Trustee Fowler seconded the motion. Trustees Boscoe, Fowler and Polo. Officer Richardson discussed with the Village Board purchasing a new shotgun from the Village of Geneseo for $250. The gun is in good condition and half the price of a brand new one. Also, Officer Richardson informed the Board that two radios in the police cars might need to be replaced, as parts for repairs arent available. The Village Board will further discuss the two issues at the upcoming Budget Workshops. Main Street Easements Village Attorney Jim Coniglio informed the Board that the easement paperwork was been distributed to all parties. They have been informed and in agreement to sign and return the forms. Garbage/Recycle bids tabled until Sunday, February 10, 2008. Flowers Debbie Davis, Rita Kanaley and Karen Polo discussed with the Board their desire to volunteer time and materials towards community beautification. Mrs. Davis asked the Board to consider a budget of $700 to cover a new flower box under the Commons sign and large pots by the A-Plus Mini-Mart to replace the current flower box. Mrs. Davis explained that the three would be willing to help with holiday decorations and could obtain free materials for wreaths and swags. Mrs. Davis said their work would not interfere with the Garden Club as the Garden Club attends to the new black wrought-iron boxes; which are not part of their plan. Mrs. Davis asked the Board to consider purchasing a couple new benches for the downtown area. The Board thanked the ladies for their generosity. Cal-Mum Youth Football request use Washburn Park. A motion was made by Deputy-Mayor Truman to approve the use of Washburn Park from August 4th until the end of October; Trustee Fowler seconded the motion. AYE: Mayor Caluorie, Deputy-Mayor Truman,
Trustees Boscoe, Fowler and Polo. Prior to the commencement of school, practice will be Monday through Thursday, 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. After school begins, practice will be held Tuesday and Thursdays and on Saturday mornings from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Cal-Mum Youth Football promised to supply a Certificate of Insurance and will make any necessary repairs to the grounds should damage occur. Executive Session: a motion was made by Deputy-Mayor Truman at 7:30 p.m. to enter into executive session to discuss personnel; Trustee Boscoe seconded the motion.
