Jones family celebrates five college graduates

   May 2009 will always be remembered as a busy but happy time for Jay and Kelly Jones of Caledonia. Their three children, their son-in-law and their son’s girlfriend all graduated from college within one week of one another. Christopher, Lindsay and Jayme Jones, along with Lindsay’s husband, Jay and Chris’ girlfriend, Lindsay, all received their respective degrees.

   On May 17, 2009, Chris graduated from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY and is now a doctor and will be doing his general surgery residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He will be joined by his girlfriend, Lindsay Warren, who also graduated from Upstate the same day and will be a pediatrician at University of Maryland Medical Center.

   Also on May 17, his sister Jayme graduated from Ithaca College with a B.S. in clinical exercise science and is now enrolled in the accelerated nursing program at the University of Rochester where she will earn her R.N. in June 2010. She is also working part time as an exercise physiologist at Unity Hospital in Rochester.

   On May 21, 2009 Lindsay Jones Shinkunas graduated from Johns Hopkins University with her master's in counseling. She is currently a human resource manager at Rydex Investments in Rockville, M.D. In addition, her husband, Jay, graduated on May 22, 2009 from the University of Maryland with his M.B.A. He currently works as a financial analyst at Lockheed Martin in Rockville. They reside in Germantown, MD.

   Their parents and their grandmother, Ann Moran, also of Caledonia, are all very proud of them.
